Italian armchairs from the 1940’s sit beneath a two-part painting by Frank Stella. The painting to the right is by Brice Marden, which hangs above a slice of pie by Claes Oldenburg.
The room’s height was dictated by the Mark Bradford painting which dominates the south wall.
The living room’s rosewood framed sofas are covered in a hand woven textile, the chairs are by Jules Leleu and the lacquered table is by Jean Michel Frank. Works include Morris Louis, Franz Kline, Alberto Giacometti and Willem de Kooning.
A Jean Royere console from the 1930’s sits in the front hall.
